SUPPLEMENT TO THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
OF THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 1890.

Shooting Season for Imported Game, License Fee,
Rangitikei District.
ONSLOW, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same,
I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and
quail may be taken or killed in the County of Rangitikei
from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to
the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do
further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within
the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of
ten shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and native
game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds
each; and the Postmasters at Marton and Bull's are hereby
appointed to sign and issue the said licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.

from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to
the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do
further notify that licenses to take or kill game within the
said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of
twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and
native game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five
pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Gisborne is
hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.

of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and
quail may be taken or killed within the Nelson District,
consisting of the Counties of Waimea, Buller, and Colling-
wood, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety, both inclusive (subject neverthe-
less to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I
do further notify that licenses to take or kill game within
the same district shall be issued on payment of the sum of
twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and
native game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five
pounds each; and the Chief Postmasters at Nelson and
Westport are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said
licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.

Adoption of "Rating Act, 1882," by the Town Board of
Geraldine.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Board of Gerald-
dine, on or about the 1st day of December, 1889, duly
passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt
"The Rating Act, 1882," and that such resolution is in the
words and figures following, namely, "That this Board
adopt 'The Rating Act, 1882.'"
