Special Order made by Mangawhero Road Board, County of Wanganui.

THE following special order, made by the Mangawhero Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

Re Otamoa Loan: That a special order be now made making a special rate of 4-43rds of a penny in the pound over the Otamoa Subdivision—that is, the Otamoa No. 2A Block, containing 1,867 acres, owned and occupied by F. H. Haselden, and that part of the Otamoa No. 2B Block, containing 300 acres, owned and occupied by John McLachlan; for the time of twenty-six years: such special rate to be an annually-recurring rate, and to be payable in one sum on the 1st April in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

Special Order made by the Alfredton Road Board, County of Wairarapa North.

THE following special order, made by the Alfredton Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special rate of 1½d. in the pound be levied on the properties of those persons interested in a further loan of £300 for expenditure on Ihuraua Valley Road, the said rate to be an annually-recurring rate until the loan is repaid; to be paid in one instalment on the 1st June in each year.

It is proposed to pledge Sections Nos. 145, 151, 196, 84, 82, and 85, Block XVI., Mangaone Survey District, and 1,000 acres, being part of Section No. 210, part of Blocks XIII. and XIV., Fuketoi, Block I., Mangapukehu, Block XIV., Mangaone Survey District, for repayment of same.

I certify that the above special order was duly confirmed at a meeting held on the 3rd December, 1889.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, County of Wairarapa North.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Wairarapa North County Council, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

WAIRARAPA NORTH COUNTY.

RESULT of a poll taken at Alfredton on the 17th December, 1889, on a proposal to raise a loan of £2,500 under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” for metalling on the Eketahuna—Tinui Road:—

Number of ratepayers on special roll 54, representing 89 votes. Number of ratepayers who voted in favour of the proposal 24, representing 39 votes; against the proposal 2, representing 4 votes; number of ratepayers who did not vote 28, representing 46 votes.

As the number of ratepayers who voted and the number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal is less than a majority in each case, I declare the proposal to be rejected.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road in Wai-iti Survey District, Nelson.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in Wai-iti Survey District, Nelson, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is further given that a plan of the said road and of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Chief Surveyor at Nelson, and is there open for inspection. And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.
