HUNUA ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Hunua
Road Board, under the provisions of "The Public
Works Act, 1882," to execute a certain work, to wit, the
construction of a road in the Parish of Hunua, County of
Manukau; and for the purpose of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereunder are required to be
taken. And notice is further given that copies of plans of
the said road and of the lands so required to be taken are
deposited at the residence of Mr. J. McDonald, Hunua, in
the County of Manukau, and are there open for inspection
every day (Sundays excepted).

And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Chairman, Hunua Road Board, Hunua Post
Office.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.----The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act the
charge is 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post office orders are
issued.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
