Land Transfer Act Notices.

A PPLICATION having been made for issue of provisional
certificates of title for Sections 1355, 1356, and 1357,
Kanieri Survey District, containing 67 acres and 24 perches,
registered in Vol. vi., folios 53 and 55; and for Sections
1726 and 1727, Waimea Survey District, containing 95 acres
and 13 perches, registered in Vol. v., folio 1362, and Vol. vii.,
folio 215; and proof of the loss of the original certificates of
title having been lodged with me, I hereby give notice that I
will issue provisional certificates as requested, unless caveat
be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 31st day of
December, 1889, at the District Land Registrar's Office,
Hokitika.

Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ALTER WATER-RACE.

Dunstan, 2nd December, 1889.

To the Warden at Roxburgh.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to alter the head of
my water-race, held under Certificate No. 3951, dated
the 21st November, 1888, for fifty heads of water, from Teviot
Stream to a point about fifty yards above the United Her-
cules Company's Water-race head, on the east side.

The length of such alteration of race is two and a half
miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is east and
west, and passing through Messrs. Cargill and Anderson's
freehold, Block VI., and also through J. Houghton's freehold,
Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block III., and Andrew Young's
residence-area.

The mean depth of such race is 5ft., and the mean breadth
is 2ft.; and it is proposed to carry fifty Government-heads of
water.

Cost of construction, Β£4,500. Time required for con-
struction, three months.
Number and date of miner's right: 39820; 28th Septem-
ber, 1889.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Gladstone Quartz-mining Company as a Limited
Company, under the provisions of "The Mining Companies
Act, 1886."

  1. The name of the company is the Gladstone Quartz-
    mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of operations is at Nenthorn, Budle District,
    Otago.
  3. The registered office of the company will be situated
    at Nenthorn.
  4. The nominal capital of the company is six thousand
    pounds, in twelve thousand shares of ten shillings each.
  5. The number of shares applied for is twelve thousand,
    being the whole, and not less than two-thirds, of the entire
    number of shares in the company.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is twelve thousand,
    which are paid up to five shillings each.
  7. The amount already paid up is nil.
  8. The name of the Manager is George Arthur Harlow.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF ROAD.

N OTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Hunua
Road Board, under the provisions of "The Public
Works Act, 1882," to close portions of road in the Parish of
Hunua, County of Manukau.

The portions of road to be closed are described in Schedule
hereunder; and notice is further given that copies of plans
of the said road are deposited at the residence of Mr. J.
McDonald, Hunua, in the County of Manukau, and are
there open for inspection every day (Sundays excepted).
And the same are more particularly delineated on Plans Nos.
5512, 5512A, and 5512B, and thereon coloured green.
