Ngarara Block.

Native Land Court Office,
Wellington, 16th November, 1889.

WHEREAS at a sitting of the Native Land Court held
at Otaki, on the 4th day of May, 1887, the applica-
tions of Inia Tuhata and others for the division of the
western portion of the land known as Ngarara were heard,
and a decision given purporting to define the portions of the
said block to which the said Inia Tuhata and others were
entitled: And whereas an application for a rehearing was
made within three months after such decision was given, and
was dismissed by John Edwin Macdonald, the Chief Judge
of the said Court: And whereas it is enacted by "The
Ngarara and Waipiro Further Investigation Act, 1889," that,
notwithstanding the action of the Native Land Court and of
the said Chief Judge, the said Court is empowered and
directed to rehear, in terms of the said Act, the applications
for the division of the said Ngarara Block, as if the same
had been duly ordered by the said Chief Judge: Now, there-
fore, by and under the direction of Hugh Garden Seth
Smith, Esq., the Chief Judge of the said Court, it is hereby
notified that a sitting of the Court will be held at Otaki, on
the 13th day of January, 1890, for the purpose of rehearing
the said applications, in pursuance of the provisions of the
said Act.

NOTICE is hereby given that Alexander Mackay, Esquire,
a Judge of the Native Land Court, with an
Assessor, sit at the Native Land Court Office, Wellington,
on Saturday, the 14th day of December, 1889, and make
inquiry respecting the application of the person named in
the first column of the Schedule hereto for the removal
of the restrictions on alienation of the land named in the
second column, situate in the district named in the third
column, and thereupon report as he shall think fit.

Abstract of Conditions.

Term of license, twenty-one years.
Rent to be paid half-yearly in advance, the first payment
to be made on day of sale, being for the period from the 1st
March, 1890, to the 31st August, 1890.

A pasturage license shall entitle the holder thereof to the
exclusive right of pasturage over the lands specified therein,
but shall give no right to the soil, or timber, or minerals,
and shall immediately determine over any land which may
be proclaimed a hundred, or which may be licensed, leased,
purchased, granted, or reserved under this or any other Act.
