Fifty-trip family tickets are issued for distances not over
twenty miles.
They are available for three months from the date of
issue.
Any portion punched, detached, or not used before the
ticket expires is not available for use.
They will be sold only to heads of families resident in the
neighbourhood of the issuing station.
They are available only for the purchaser or any member
of his family.
Members of families are deemed to be persons living with
the purchaser in his house.
If used by any other person the ticket will be forfeited.
Two children over three and not over twelve years old
may go as one passenger; but not less than one portion
will be punched if only one goes.
The family tickets will be charged as follows:---

N O. 4027. - ALBERT UNNA LEWIS, of 409, Collins Street,
Melbourne, Victoria, Gas Engineer, has deposited at
this office a specification of an invention for an improved
calculating and recording device for estimating and checking
the consumption of liquids and fluids.
And I have appointed Thursday, the 17th day of July
next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear
the said application and all objections thereto; and I require
all persons having an interest in opposing the grant of
such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 2nd day of
July next, at this office, particulars in writing of their
objections to any of the said application, otherwise they
will be precluded from urging the same.

office a specification of an invention for an improved self-
cleansing filter.
No. 4025. - JAMES RITCHIE, of Anderston, Otago, New
Zealand, Salesman, has deposited at this office a specifica-
tion of an invention for the Alpha scoop-dredge and river-
bed sluice.
No. 4026. - JOHN JERGER, Jeweller, and FRANK DEGRAY,
Watchmaker, both of Sydney, New South Wales, have de-
posited at this office a specification of an invention for an
improved portable fire-escape apparatus, applicable also for
other purposes.
No. 4028. - ALEXANDER BOW, of Wangape, Hokianga,
Auckland, New Zealand, Native School Teacher, has de-
posited at this office a specification of an invention for an
improvement in braces or suspenders for sustaining trowsers,
to be called "Bow's Simplex Self-adjusting Braces."
No. 4029. - THOMAS JEFCOATE HARBUTT, of Auckland,
New Zealand, Corn-broom Manufacturer, has deposited at
this office a specification of an invention for a broom, to be
called "Harbutt's Patent Jubilee Broom."
No. 4030. - CHARLES RHOADES, of No. 6, Empire Cham-
bers, Willis Street, Wellington, New Zealand, Gas Engineer,
has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for
preventing gasalier weights from falling to the ground
through broken hooks or chains, to be called "The Safety
Gasalier-weight Guard."
And I have appointed Tuesday, the 21st day of January
next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the
said applications and all objections thereto; and I require all
persons having an interest in opposing the grant of any
such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 6th day of
January next, at this office, particulars in writing of their
objections to any of the said applications, otherwise they
will be precluded from urging the same.

No. 4033. - WILLIAM LUCAS, of Christchurch, New Zea-
land, Engineer, has deposited at this office a specification of
an invention for improvements in meat-cutting machines.
No. 4034. - JAMES JOHNNY FOUGERE, of Warren Street,
Hastings, New Zealand, Settler, has deposited at this office
a specification of an invention for an improved game or
puzzle, and apparatus for the same.
No. 4035. - STEPHEN HENRY MANNERS, of Molesworth
Street, North Melbourne, Victoria, Engineer, has deposited
at this office a specification of an invention for a new or im-
proved buckle for waist-belts or straps, and other analogous
purposes.
No. 4036. - DAVID MARSHALL BETT, JAMES ARTIC ST. JOHN,
and CHARLES WILLIAMS, of City Road, South Melbourne, Vic-
toria, Plumbers and Gasfitters, have deposited at this office
a specification of an invention for a new or improved self-
acting apparatus for distributing water to extinguish an out-
break of fire.
And I have appointed Thursday, the 23rd day of January
next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear
the said applications and all objections thereto; and I
require all persons having an interest in opposing the
grant of any such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the
8th day of January next, at this office, particulars in writing
of their objections to any of the said applications, otherwise
they will be precluded from urging the same.
