A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Land Act,
1885," and of every other power and authority enabling me
in that behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke
the Proclamation dated the sixth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-eight, in so far as it relates to
the section of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto,
which was, with other lands, set apart for sale on deferred
payments under the provisions of "The Land Act, 1877."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second
day of October, 1889.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of "The Public Reserves Act,
1881," I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do
hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public
recreation in the Land District of Wellington, and known
as the Island Bay Recreation-ground, and described in the
Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought
under the operation of and declared to be subject to the
provisions of "The Public Domains Act, 1881;" and such
domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt
with in manner directed by the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wel-
lington, containing by admeasurement 8 acres, more or less,
being an irregularly-shaped island situate in Island Bay,
Block XI., Port Nicholson Survey District, and bounded on
all sides by the sea; as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Vesting a Library Site in the South Wellington Public
Library (Incorporated).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifteenth
day of October, 1889.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for a site for public purposes: And
whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to
vest the said land in the South Wellington Public Library
(Incorporated):
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
shall become vested in the South Wellington Public Library
(Incorporated), in trust, for a site for a public library.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington,
containing by admeasurement 1 rood 33\frac{1}{4} perches, more or
less, being Reserve No. 13, City of Wellington. Bounded on
the east by Revans Street, 478\frac{1}{2} links; on the south by
Section No. 922, 215 links; on the west by Sections Nos.
920, 919, and 918, 431 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan de-
posited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second
day of October, 1889.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred,
save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons for
any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be speci-
fied in such order, and that every such delegation may from
time to time in like manner be altered or revoked: And
whereas, pursuant to "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," by
an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land described
in the Schedule thereto is declared to be brought under the
operation of and to be subject to the provisions of the said
"Public Domains Act, 1881:"
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
Colony of New Zealand, doth, by this present order, delegate
all the powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned,
except the powers under or conferred by sections five and
twelve, to
The CORPORATION of the BOROUGH OF MELROSE,
which shall be known as the Island Bay Domain Board
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipula-
tions hereinafter contained, that is to say,-

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
the fourth Tuesday in each month, at six o'clock p.m., at
the Corporation Office, Wellington, or at such other time or
place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The
first meeting shall be held on Tuesday, the twenty-ninth day
of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting.
