Special Rate for Eketahuna Street-widening.

THE following special order, made by the Wairarapa North County Council, is published for general information.

SPECIAL ORDER.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," and "The Counties Act, 1886," the Council of the County of Wairarapa North resolves as follows:---

That a special rate of fifteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound be made on the rateable value of Subsections 5 to 22 (inclusive) of Section 13, Section 23, and Subsections 1 to 31 (inclusive) of Section 24, Block VI., Mangaone Survey District, as security for the payment of interest and annual charges on a loan of £500, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for expenditure in widening the metalled portions of the main road through Eketahuna Township.

That the said rate shall be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and shall be payable half-yearly at the office of this Council, in two equal instalments, on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year, commencing on the 1st day of February, 1890.

Passed at a special meeting of the Council, this 10th day of September, 1889. Confirmed this 8th day of October, 1889.
