Mining Notices.

I the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Pegasus High Level Tin-mining Company as a
Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Act, 1886."

  1. The name of the company is to be the Pegasus High
    Level Tin-mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of intended operations is at Pegasus, Stewart
    Island.
  3. The registered office of the company will be situated
    in Esk Street, Invercargill.
  4. The nominal capital of the company is twelve thousand
    pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of ten shillings each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-four
    thousand, being not less than two-thirds of the entire
    number of shares in the company.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is fourteen thousand.
  7. The amount already paid up is one hundred and forty-
    five pounds.
  8. The name of the Manager is John James Wesney.
  9. The names, addresses, and occupations of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date,
    are as follow:-

AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR PUBLIC
WORKS.

N OTICE is hereby given, in terms of Part II. of "The
Public Works Act, 1882," and Acts amending the
same, that the Akaroa County Council propose to take certain
lands at the head of Barry's Bay Valley, Akaroa, for the
purpose of forming a new road, with improved grades, being
part of Educational Reserve No. 1220, containing by admea-
surement 3 acres 2 roods 9 perches, more or less.

Any person affected hereby is called upon to set forth in
writing any well-founded objection to the taking of such
lands, within forty days from the date of this notice, and
such objections to be sent addressed to the Chairman ef the
said County Council.

A plan of the land to be taken is now open for inspection
on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, between the hours
of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., at the office of the Council, Duvau-
chelle's Bay.
