NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Hindon, Barewood, 17th August, 1889.

To the Warden at Hindon.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-
race to divert and use water for mining purposes, com-
mencing at a point in Flat Stream half a mile above Bare-
wood, crossing old track, and terminating at a point below
track from Barewood Homestead to Flat Stream Camp.
The length of such race is one mile and a half or there-
abouts, and its intended course is in a northerly direction.
The mean depth of such race is 1ft. 6in., and the mean
breadth is 1ft. 6in.; and it is proposed to divert two Govern-
ment-heads of water.
Cost of construction: £200.
Time required for construction: Six months.
Number and date of miner's right: 35344; 29th July, 1889.

To the Warden at Hindon.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-
race to divert and use water for mining purposes, com-
mencing at a point in Castle Creek one mile from junction
with Taieri River, and terminating at a point half a mile
from junction.
The length of such race is one mile or thereabouts, and
its intended course is northerly. The mean depth of such
race is 1ft. 6in., and the mean breadth is 1ft. 6in.; and it is
proposed to divert two Government-heads of water.
Cost of construction: £159.
Time required for construction: Six months.
Number and date of miner's right: 35344; 29th July,
1889.

LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the
shareholders of the above company will be held at the
office of the company (Ross, Sims, and Co.'s office), Timaru,
on Tuesday, the 19th day of November, 1889, at 8 o'clock in
the evening, for the purpose of having a statement of ac-
counts laid before them, and determining the manner in
which the books and documents of the company and of the
Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.
