Description of Land, Opunake and Kaupokonui Survey
Districts: This land lies about seven miles eastward of Opu-
nake, from which it is accessible by the Eltham Road.
Blocks V. and VI., Kaupokonui, adjoin the forest reserve
around Mount Egmont. Country level and well watered,
soil very light.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventh day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory
Declarations.
PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
eighth section of "The Justices of the Peace Act
Amendment Act, 1888," I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
notify and declare that
THOMAS KITCHING,
of Aratapu, in the said colony, a person holding the office of
Postmaster under "The Post Office Act, 1881," at Aratapu
aforesaid, is authorised to take and receive statutory declara-
tions under the two hundred and thirty-fourth section of
"The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882."
As witness my hand, at Wellington, in the colony
aforesaid, this seventh day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine.

NOTICE. -JOSEPH SAMUEL RUBINSTEIN, of 5, Raymond
Buildings, Gray's Inn, London, W.C., a Solicitor of
the Supreme Court of Judicature of England, has been ap-
pointed this day, by His Honour the Chief Justice, a Com-
missioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in England,
under the second section of "The Commissioners of the
Supreme Court Act, 1875," for the purpose of taking all
such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section
mentioned.

your colony to England with the intention of pursuing
studies of the nature included within the scope of this
