the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," aforesaid, declare
my intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve
described in the first column of the Schedule hereto to the
specific purpose set opposite such description in the second
column of the said Schedule.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, con- taining by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 12 perches, being Section No. 34, Village of Matamau, Block X., Norsewood Sur- vey District. Reserved for a resting- place for travelling-stock. Site for a ceme- tery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirtieth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-nine.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the second section of "The Public Re-
serves Sale Act, 1888," I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby declare and direct that the lands enumerated in the
Schedule hereto shall cease to be reserved, and that the same
shall be sold and disposed of under the provisions of sections
ninety-five and two hundred and thirty-two of "The Land
Act, 1885."

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory
Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
eighth section of "The Justices of the Peace Act
Amendment Act, 1888," I, Sir William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify and declare that the persons named in the
Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Post-
master under "The Post Office Act, 1881," at the places set
opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are
authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under
the two hundred and thirty-fourth section of "The Justices
of the Peace Act, 1882-"

Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
The Reverend HANNETH MICHAEL BLAKE MARSHALL
to be a Trustee, in the place of the Reverend William
Katterns, who has left the district, to provide for the main-
tenance and care of the Kaikoura Suburban Cemetery, in
conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant
under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the
twentieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
WILLIAM ELIAS
to be a Trustee, in the place of William McCathie, deceased,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Wainui
Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed
by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor
on the twenty-second day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirtieth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-nine.

to be the Returning Officer for the Native Licensing District
of Omataroa.
