Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first Saturday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Land District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 32 acres 3 roods 13 perches, more or less, situate in the Coast District, and being part of Section No. 8, Block VII., on the map of the said district. Bounded towards the north-west by other part of the said Section No. 8, reserved for a school, 1280 links, also by a road-line 840 links; towards the north-east by a road-line 900 and 1464 links, also by other part of said Section No. 8, reserved for a cemetery, 600 links; towards the south-east by the said Cemetery Reserve 840 links, also by a road-line 1320 links; and towards the south-west by Section No. 7, 3389 links: and intersected by a road 50 links wide.

Vesting Reserves in the Borough of Napier.

ONSLow, Governor.
WHEREAS by section seventeen of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is provided that the reserves to be made for any borough or town district under such section shall be made only in cases where no such reserves for the purpose of sections three, five, and six of “The Plans of Towns Regulation Act, 1875,” exist therein, or, if existing, do not equal or exceed the amount of reserves authorised to be made under such last-mentioned Act:
And whereas the existing reserves for the Borough of Napier do not equal the amount of reserves authorised to be made under “The Plans of Towns Regulation Act, 1875,” and it appears expedient to make the reserves hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the seventeenth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare that the land enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved for the purpose stated opposite to the description of such land in the second column hereto, for the benefit of the Borough of Napier, as constituted under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre respectively set opposite such land in the said Schedule.
