This block is known as the Rimutauteka, is situate about three miles east of Inglewood, and is surrounded by settled districts; it has access from Inglewood by the Bristol and Lincoln Roads, and on the Huirangi side, principally, by the York Road. The Bristol Road has been felled and cleared the whole length of the block, and the Lincoln Road up to the western boundary. Roads through the block are now being felled and cleared. The soil is generally of good quality, some parts superior to others; a fair proportion is level, and the remainder fine rolling country. The block is wholly covered with forest, with the exception of Sections 1 and 10, on which there are patches of warangi, houhou, and fern-tree scrub. The timber is that common to the district, with a fair proportion of rimu.
