REMARKS.

March. Generally showery weather during this month
with intervals of fine, the maximum rain recorded on 5th,
1.10in.; prevailing N.W. wind, and strong on eight days, and
gale on nights of 8th and 22nd from that quarter. Maxi-
mum temperature in shade, 73; minimum, 43.2. Mean
temperature of dewpoint, 50.7; mean humidity, 73.
April. Generally fine weather, small rainfall, the maxi-
mum recorded on 14th, .50in.; showers in middle and end
of month; prevailing wind from N.W., and strong on nine
days from that quarter. Maximum temperature in shade, 70;
minimum, 40. Mean temperature of dewpoint, 47.7; mean
humidity, 73. Earthquake felt on 8th, at 2.58 a.m., slight.
Lunar halo on 16th.

Native Land Court Notices.

"The Native Lands Frauds Prevention Act, 1881," and
"The Native Lands Frauds Prevention Act 1881 Amend-
ment Act, 1888."

Auckland, 3rd June, 1889.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Trust Commissioner will,
under the authority and for the purposes of the said
Acts, hold a Court at Kapanga, Coromandel, on the 2nd day
of July, 1889, for investigating the several cases mentioned
in the Schedule hereunder, at which time and place all
persons interested in the said cases, and having objections
to any of the dealings, are hereby notified to attend.

SCHEDULE.

  1. A TRANSFER of timber rights dated the 29th day of April,
    1885, over land called Moehau No. 1 or Waikawau Reserve,
    situate at Moehau, made by Hori Ngakapa Whanaunga and
    24 others to the Auckland Timber Company (Limited).
  2. A transfer dated the 16th day of May, 1889, of land
    called Parangu No. 13, situate at Coromandel, made by
    Makoare te Pukeroa to John Lynch.
  3. The circumstances attending a judgment of the Supreme
    Court of New Zealand, dated the 30th day of May, 1889, in
    the cause of John Lynch against Ema te Aoura.

"The Native Lands Frauds Prevention Act 1881 Amend-
ment Act, 1888."

NOTICE is hereby given that a Trust Commissioner will,

No. 89-16. Memorandum of transfer dated 10th April,
1889, from Maunga te Hapoki, Teieti Turanga, and Retimana
te Hapoki to Charles Bull, of Taonui Ahuoturanga, Section
No. 2D.

Goldfields Notices.

Reward of £10,000 offered for the Discovery of New Gold-
fields. Amended Conditions.

Mines Department,
Wellington, 30th April, 1888.

REWARDS of £10,000 are offered for the discovery of new
goldfields, upon the amended conditions set forth
hereunder.

AMENDED CONDITIONS.

  1. The maximum sum offered as a reward for any proved
    discovery of a new goldfield in accordance with these condi-
    tions is £5,000 for the North Island, and £5,000 for the
    Middle Island.
