Licenses to use Totalisators at Race Meetings revoked.

NOTICE is hereby given that all general licenses to use
the totalisator at race meetings, heretofore granted to
any racing club under section 46 of "The Gaming and
Lotteries Act, 1881," are by this notice revoked and deter-
mined, in pursuance of the authority vested in the Colonial
Secretary by the said Act. Such revocation to take effect
on the 1st July, 1889.

NAPIER HARBOUR.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 11th June, 1889.
THE Napier Harbour Board have given notice that, on
and after the 15th July, 1889, two red lights will be
exhibited from a lighthouse, painted white, placed on the
outer end of the western pier at the entrance to the Inner
Harbour, Napier. The lights will be shown vertically, placed
9ft. apart, with the lower one 12ft. above high-water, and
showing from seaward between the bearings of S. to S.S.E. Β½ E.
Bearings magnetic, and from seaward.

Alterations and Additions to the Scale of Fares and Charges
in force upon the New Zealand Railways.
THE New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers conferred by "The Go-
vernment Railways Act, 1887," do hereby make the following
alterations in and additions to the scale of fares, rates, and
charges on the New Zealand Railways, to come into force on
and after the 17th day of June, 1889:---
PART IV.-LOCAL RATES.
AUCKLAND SECTION.
Salt in 10-ton lots, from Auckland to Te Aroha, will be
charged as Class P.
Coke in 25-ton lots, from Auckland or Onehunga to Te
Aroha, including wharfage at Onehunga, will be charged as
Class P.
Fluxing-ores in 50-ton lots, from Auckland or Onehunga to
Te Aroha, including wharfage at Onehunga, will be charged
as Class O.
Coal from Kimihia to Te Aroha will be charged 6s. 2d.
per ton.
Limestone in 300-ton lots, taken at the convenience of the
department, including supply, from Te Kuiti to Te Aroha,
will be charged 10s. per ton.
The common seal of the New Zealand
Railway Commissioners was hereunto
affixed, this eighth day of June, one (L.S.)
