Applications for Rehearing.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chief Judge, sitting
with an Assessor, will, in open Court, at Tauranga,
on the 21st day of June, 1889, hear and determine upon the
applications for rehearing mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
All persons interested in the said applications are required
to attend at the time and place aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
- APPLICATION received 27th April, 1888, made by Tamati
Tu and others, for a rehearing upon the decision of the
Court making partition of Matapihi No. 1. - Application received 18th May, 1888, made by Nga-
manu te Wharau, for a rehearing upon the decision of the
Court making partition of Matapihi No. 1 (Te Mania).

NOTICE is hereby given that a Trust Commissioner will,
under the authority and for the purposes of the said
Acts, hold a Court at Tauranga, on the 21st day of June,
1889, for investigating the cases mentioned in the Schedule
hereunder, at which time and place all persons interested in
the said cases, and having objections to any of the dealings,
are hereby notified to attend.

- A CONVEYANCE dated the 19th day of November, 1889, of
land called Allotment 102, Parish of Te Papa, situate at
Tauranga, made by Te Patu, Ngapete Turere, and Menihera
Turere to Joseph Henry. - A transfer dated the 14th day of October, 1885, of land
called Allotments 138, 139, Section 1, Tauranga, situate at
Tauranga, made by Kingi Waata, Keepa Waata, Honeri
Waata, Aporo Waata, Eru Waata, and Mihirini Waata to
William Kelly. - A conveyance dated the 26th day of February, 1889, of
land called Allotment 102, Parish of Te Papa, situate at
Tauranga, made by Akuhata Tupaea, Hamiora Tupaea,
Maria Ngaone Tupaea, Akuhata Ninihi, Petera te Ninihi,
and Amere te Ninihi to Joseph Henry.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF GISBORNE.
IN the matter of a decision of the Court given on the 26th
day of August, 1886, upon the hearing of a claim for
investigation of the title to land situate in the said district,
and known as Waiohiki Block; and in the matter of an
application for a rehearing upon the said claim, made by
writing dated the 24th day of September, 1886, by Nirai
Runga and Arareina te Heretatua, feeling themselves ag-
grieved by the said decision:
Upon inquiry in open Court as to the said application, held
at Taradale on the 10th day of May, 1889, by the Chief Judge,
assisted by Tamati Tautuhi, an Assessor of the Court:
I, Hugh Garden Seth Smith, Chief Judge of the said
Court, in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in
me, do hereby order that a rehearing upon such claim be
had, at a time and place to be hereafter notified.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF GISBORNE.
IN the matter of a decision of the Court given on the 20th
day of December, 1888, upon the hearing of a claim for
investigation of the title to land situate in the said district,
and known as Te Pirau Block; and in the matter of the
several applications for a rehearing upon the said claim,
made in writing within three months after such decision was
given, by Wiremina Ngahuka and other Natives, feeling
themselves aggrieved by the said decision:
Upon inquiry in open Court as to the said application, held
at Napier on the 6th day of May, 1889, by the Chief Judge,
assisted by Tamati Tautuhi, an Assessor of the Court:
I, Hugh Garden Seth Smith, Chief Judge of the said
Court, in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in
me, do hereby order that, as to the portion of the said Pirau
Block affected by the said decision, a rehearing be had upon
such claim at a time and place to be hereafter notified, pro-
vided always that security for the costs of such rehearing is
given by the applicants, by depositing the sum of £25 with
the Registrar of the Court at Gisborne, or by executing a
bond for the said amount to his satisfaction. And I hereby
also make it a condition that the evidence given at the hear-
ing of the said claims, and upon which the said decision is
founded, shall be read as evidence at the rehearing hereby
ordered. The parties nevertheless to be at liberty to call
what further evidence they may think necessary.

Sale of Part of the Wanganui Harbour Board Endowment
Block, Wellington Land District.

Wellington, 10th May, 1889.
IT is hereby notified that the sections of land as per
Schedule hereunder will be offered for sale on deferred
payments and for cash, in terms of "The Land Act, 1885."
Applications for the deferred-payment sections will be
received at this office on Tuesday, the 18th June, 1889, up to
4.30 p.m. In cases of contested sections, applicants will be
informed, in order that they may forward tenders, which will
be opened on Thursday, the 27th June, 1889. If personal
attendance is not possible, agents should be appointed, in
order that tenders may be received before that date. Com-
plete addresses must in all cases be given.
The cash sections will be put up to auction on Friday, the
5th July, 1889, at 2 p.m., at the Odd Fellows' Hall, Wanganui;
the Auctioneer being Mr. A. Barnes.
DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
Conditions: With the applications for deferred-payment
sections one-twentieth of the upset price and £1 1s. license-
fee must be paid in cash, or by post office order, bank draft, or
marked cheque; the balance of the purchase-money in half-
yearly instalments extending over ten years. Where more
