Application for Rehearing of Claim dismissed.
NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.
IN the matter of a decision of the Court given at Roto-
rua on the 20th day of August, 1887, upon the hearing
of a claim for investigation of title to land known as Roto-
mahana Parekarangi; and in the matter of an application
by Wiripine Marino and others for a rehearing upon such
claim so far as affects the land known as Tikitapu, part of
Rotomahana Parekarangi:
Upon inquiry in open Court as to the said application for
rehearing, held at Rotorua on the 15th and 16th days of April,
1889, by the Chief Judge, assisted by Urupene Puhara, an
Assessor of the Court:
I, Hugh Garden Seth Smith, Chief Judge of the said Court,
in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do
hereby dismiss such application.

rehearing, held at Taupo on the 25th day of April, 1889, and
following days by the Chief Judge, assisted by Urupene Pu-
hara, an Assessor of the Court:
I, Hugh Garden Seth Smith, Chief Judge of the said Court,
in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do
hereby dismiss such application.

Acts, hold a Court at Shortland Town, Hauraki, on the 5th

Description of Land: The old crater of Sunday Island,
part of which is open and bare dried mud, somewhat stony,
though the greater part is covered with pohutakawa, ngaio,
and other trees. The soil in parts is very good, but generally
not so. It is for the most part naturally fenced by steep
cliffs. There are three small lakes in this run.

Description of Land: Situate on the East Coast, near
Tauranga. The runs in some cases contain bush, and ex-
tend from the vicinity of the lakes to Richmond Township.
They are watered by streams, and are near the main
Tauranga-Opotiki Road.

IT is hereby notified that the sections of land as per
Schedule hereunder will be offered for sale on deferred
payments and for cash, in terms of "The Land Act, 1885."
Applications for the deferred-payment sections will be
received at this office on Tuesday, the 18th June, 1889, up to
4.30 p.m. In cases of contested sections, applicants will be
informed, in order that they may forward tenders, which will
be opened on Thursday, the 27th June, 1889. If personal
attendance is not possible, agents should be appointed, in
order that tenders may be received before that date. Com-
plete addresses must in all cases be given.
The cash sections will be put up to auction on Friday, the
5th July, 1889, at 2 p.m., at the Odd Fellows' Hall, Wanganui;
the Auctioneer being Mr. A. Barnes.
DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
Conditions: With the applications for deferred-payment
sections one-twentieth of the upset price and £1 1s. license-
fee must be paid in cash, or by post office order, bank draft, or
marked cheque; the balance of the purchase-money in half-
