Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.
ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
eighth day of May, 1889.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by Petera Honotapu, the Native owner of
the land described in the second column of the Schedule
hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of
such land contained in the memorial of ownership, bearing
date the twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, described in the first column of the
said Schedule, may be removed: And whereas it appears
expedient to grant such application :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable
William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said memorial of ownership on
the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.

the 26th August, 1880, in favour

tions: "May not sell or make
any other disposition of the
said land, except that he may
lease the said land for any
term not exceeding twenty-
one years in possession and
not in reversion, without fine,
premium, or foregift, and with-
out agreement or covenant for
renewal or for purchase at a
future time."
All that piece of land in
the Poverty Bay District,
containing 30 acres, and
known by the name of
Whakaongaonga No. 5 Block.

hereto, bearing date the seventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, described in the first column of the said Schedule, may be removed: And whereas it appears expedient to grant such application :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable
William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
