again towards the south-east by that road and the north-
western side thereof produced to the middle of the River
Wairoa; and thence towards the south-west and north-west
by a line along the middle of that river and of the River
Waimea to the place of commencement.

Stoke Subdivision: Comprises all that portion of the Stoke
Road District bounded towards the north-east generally by
the Borough of Nelson, from Tasman Bay to the northern-
most corner of Section No. 18, Suburban South; thence
by the north-eastern boundary-line of that section and its
production to the boundary-line between the Provincial
Districts of Nelson and Marlborough; thence towards the
south-east by that boundary-line to the Wai-iti Riding, as
described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June,
1883; thence towards the south by the said Wai-iti Riding
to a line being the production of the north-eastern boundary-
line of Section No. 58, Square I., Waimea Survey District;
thence towards the south-west by the latter line to the north-
eastern boundary-line of Section No. 58 aforesaid; thence by
that section and Section No. 70 to the northernmost corner
of the latter section; thence by a right line to the south-
western corner of Section No. 94, Square 1, Waimea Survey
District; thence by the road forming the south-western
boundary of the said Section No. 94 and of Section No. 72,
and by the Richmond Town District to Tasman Bay; and
thence towards the north-west by Tasman Bay.

Hope Subdivision: Comprises all that portion of the Stoke
Road District bounded towards the north-east by the Stoke
Subdivision, hereinbefore described; towards the south and
south-east by the Wai-iti Riding, as described in the New
Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883, to the River Lee;
thence towards the south-west and west generally by a line
along the middle of that river and the middle of the Rivers
Roding and Wairoa; towards the north-west by the Appleby
Subdivision, hereinbefore described; and again towards the
north-east and north-west by the Town District of Richmond.

N OTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS, Patent
Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, has
applied, on behalf of PRICE'S PATENT CANDLE COMPANY,
LIMITED, of 31, Threadneedle Street, in the City of London,
and Belmont Works, Battersea, in the County of Surrey,
Bromboro' Pool Works, in the County of Chester, and River
Street, Liverpool, in the County of Lancaster, all in England,
Candle Manufacturers, to register, under "The Trade Marks
Act, 1866," the trade marks numbered from 1 to 11, of which
the following is a description:-

Description of Trade Marks.
No. 1 is a label having upon it the words "Gold Medal
Palmitine," "Price's Patent Candle Company, Limited,
London and Liverpool," and in the centre the representa-
tion of a medal, and the words and figures "Paris, 1867."

No. 2 is a label having in the centre the words "Battersea
Wax," and at the left side a representation of a ship in full
sail. At the top of the label the words "Price's Patent
Candle Company, Limited," and at the foot the words "Lon-
don and Liverpool."

No. 3 is a label having in the centre the words "National
Sperm," and at the left side a representation of a ship in full
sail. At the top of the label the words "Price's Patent Can-
dle Company, Limited," and at the foot the words "London
and Liverpool."

No. 4 is a label having upon it the words "Price's Best
Composite," and "Price's Patent Candle Company, Limited,
London and Liverpool."

No. 5 is a label having in the centre the words "London
Wax," and a monogram in a shield of the letters "PPCCL."
At the top the word "Price's," and at the foot the words
"Price's Patent Candle Company, Limited, London and
Liverpool."

No. 6 is a label having in the centre the words "London
Paraffin." At the top a representation of a ship in full sail,
and the word "Price's," and at the foot the words "Price's
Patent Candle Company, Limited, London and Liverpool."

No. 7 is a label having in the centre a representation of
tropical scenery, with, in the foreground, men engaged with
melting-pots. At the top are the words "Price's Patent
Candle Company's Belmont Sperm Candles, made expressly
for Hot Climates," and at the foot the words and figures
"The Company's Awards: 39 Diplomas of Honour, Gold,
Silver, and Bronze Medals." "Price's Patent Candle Com-
pany, Limited, London and Liverpool."

No. 8 is a label having in the centre a representation of a
ship in full sail. At the top are the words "Price's Imperial
Sperm Candles, made expressly for hot climates," and at
the foot the words and figures "The Company's Awards: 39
Diplomas of Honour, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals."

"Price's Patent Candle Company, Limited, London and
Liverpool."

No. 9 is a label in the centre of which is a representation
of a ship in full sail. On the sails are the words "Price's
Patent Candle Company, Limd." At the top are the
words "Price's London Sperm Candles," and at the foot the
words " Price's Patent Candle Company, Limited, London
and Liverpool."

No. 10 is a label having in the centre a representation of a
figure of Atlas standing on a tortoise, and bearing the world
on his shoulders. On a band encircling the world is a repre-
sentation of a ship in full sail. At the top are the words
"Price's Atlas Paraffin Candles," and at the foot the words
and figures "Price's Patent Candle Company, Limited, Lon-
don and Liverpool." "Awards: 32 Diplomas of Honor,
Gold, Silver, and other medals."

No. 11 is a label having in the centre a representation of a
figure of Atlas standing on a tortoise, and bearing the world
on his shoulders. At the top are the words "Price's Atlas
Sperm Candles," and on a band encircling the world are the
words "Suitable for all climates." At the foot are the
words and figures "Price's Patent Candle Company, Limited,
London and Liverpool." "Awards: 25 Diplomas of Honor
Gold, Silver, and other medals."

Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade
Marks shall apply.
