County of East Taupo; towards the south-east by a right
line from Trig. Station No. 654, Kaweka Survey District, to
Trig. Station No. 88B, Ruahine; thence towards the south-
west by a right line to Trig. Station No. 30 on Aorangi;
thence again towards the south-east by the County of
Rangitikei; and towards the west generally by the County
of Wanganui.

of "The Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of May, 1889.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the South Dunedin Borough Council, being
a leasing authority within the meaning of "The
Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the
said Act"), has requested that these presents should issue,
and it appears expedient to make the order hereinafter
contained:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby order and declare that the South Dunedin Borough
Council shall, as from the date of the publication hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette, be subject to the provisions of
the said Act.

Vesting a Drainage Reserve in the Springs Road Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of May, 1889.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for drainage purposes: And whereas it
is expedient that the said land should be vested in the
Springs Road Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the
Springs Road Board, in trust, for drainage purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 10 perches, more
or less, being Section No. 2832 (in red), and situate in Block
XII., Leeston Survey District. Bounded towards the south-
west by Section No. 13956; towards the north-west by a
road-line; towards the north-east by Reserves Nos. 302 and
311; and towards the south-east by the Tramway Reserve:
as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the
District Survey Office, Christchurch.

are required to be taken for a public work, to wit,
the construction of a road in the Otaki Road District:
And whereas the said lands are held or occupied by Native
owners:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and the
amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order that the public work
hereinbefore mentioned shall and may be constructed on or
through the parcels of land more particularly mentioned in
the Schedule hereto.

Fee for Registration of Dogs in Chatham Islands reduced.

ONSLOW, Governor.

WHEREAS it is expedient to reduce the fee to be paid
for the registration of dogs in the Chatham Islands,
under "The Dog Registration Act, 1880:"

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said "Dog Re-
gistration Act, 1880," and by "The Dog Registration Act
Amendment Act, 1882," do hereby appoint that, on and
after the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety, the fee to be paid for the registration of every
dog registered in the Chatham Islands shall be the sum of
five shillings.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventh day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-nine.
