of the Government has been pleased to pronounce the
under-mentioned gold-mining leases cancelled, and that the
ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said
ground had ever been applied for :-

will be submitted to public auction, at 12 o'clock
noon, on Wednesday, the 17th April, 1889, at the Land Office,
Christchurch, where plans may be seen and further particu-
lars obtained. The license will be for a term of ten months
and two weeks, terminating on the 1st March, 1890:-
Run N 73, 200 acres. Upset annual rental, £10; situated
on the north bank of the River Ashley, to the west of the
River Makerikerei.

N OTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned allot-
ments of land will be offered for sale by public auction,
at the Denniston Hall, Denniston, on Saturday, the 20th
April, at 11 o'clock a.m.
One-fifth part of the purchase money must be paid at the
time of sale, and the remaining four-fifths within thirty days
next after the time of such sale, otherwise the amount so
paid as aforesaid shall be forfeited, and the contract for the
sale of the land shall thenceforward be null and void.
