Duty on Substitute for Leather Belting.

JAMES PRENDERGAST,

IN exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested
by "The Customs and Excise Duties Act, 1888," I,
James Prendergast, Administrator of the Government of
New Zealand, do hereby direct that, from and after the date
hereof, there shall be levied upon cotton belting, canvas
belting, indiarubber composition belting, or any other belting
used as a substitute for leather belting, a duty of twenty per
centum ad valorem.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this fourth day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
nine.

Trustee appointed for the Palmerston (Otago) Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the
Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ROBERT STEEL

to be a Trustee, in the place of Matthew Todd, deceased,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Palmerston
(Otago) Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons
appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the
Governor on the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-five.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this fourth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Appointing Reviewers under "The Property Assessment
Act, 1885."

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me in that behalf by "The Property Assess-
ment Act, 1885," and of all other powers and authorities in
anywise enabling me in that behalf, I, James Prendergast,
the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names
are mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be Reviewers of
Property Assessments under "The Property Assessment Act,
1885;" and, in further pursuance of the said powers and
authorities, I do further appoint that each of the groups of
three of the said Reviewers respectively mentioned in the
said Schedule, and bracketed together, shall respectively
form a Board of Reviewers under "The Property Assessment
Act, 1885."
