THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-
pheasants and Californian quail may be taken or killed
within the Hawke's Bay District, consisting of the Counties
of Hawke's Bay, Patangata, Waipawa, and Wairoa, together
with all town districts and boroughs therein, from the
eighteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-nine, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine, both inclusive (subject never-
theless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And
I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game
within the said district shall be issued on payment of the
sum of ten shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game
shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds
each; and the Chief Postmaster at Napier, and the Post-
masters at Waipawa, Woodville, Wairoa, Danevirke, and
Hastings, are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said
licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this third day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
nine.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same,
I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-
pheasants and Californian quail may be taken or killed
within the Taranaki District, consisting of the Counties of
Taranaki and Clifton, from the first day of May, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-nine, to the thirty-first day
of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, both
inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said
Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to
take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued
on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that
licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the
sum of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at New
Plymouth is hereby appointed to sign and issue the said
licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Adminis-
trator of the Government, this fourth day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-

Rangitoto in the County of Rangitikei, from the first day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, to the
thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-nine, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the
restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further
notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said
district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty
shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be
issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the
Postmasters at Palmerston, Feilding, and Bull's are hereby
appointed to sign and issue the said licenses.

(subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts
mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take
or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on
payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that
licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of
the sum of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at
Blenheim is hereby appointed to sign and issue the said
licenses.
