TRANSMISSION No. 270.—Notice is hereby given that
HENRY EARLES THOMPSON, of Eastbourne,
Sussex, England, Gentleman, claiming as Devisee under the
will of WALTER SCRIVEN MORTIMER, late of Nelson, Gentle-
man, deceased, will be registered Proprietor of Section 99
and part of Section 98, Collingwood Suburban District, con-
taining 27\frac{1}{2} acres, comprised in certificate of title, Vol. i.c,
folio 157, unless caveat be lodged against his application on
or before the 20th day of April next.
Dated this 12th day of March, 1889, at the Lands Registry
Office, Nelson.

LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the
Shareholders of the above company will be held at
the office of the company, Customs Street West, Auckland,
on Friday, the 17th day of May, 1889, at the hour of 11
o'clock in the forenoon, to receive the account of the wind-
ing-up of the said company and consider the Liquidator's
report.

signed, under the firm of "E. M. Hallett and Co.," at
Auckland, in the business of Importers and Dealers in
Sewing Machines, was this day dissolved by mutual consent.
All debts owing by the said firm will be paid by the under-
signed Sidney Abraham Asher, and all debts owing to the
firm must be paid to him.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act the
charge is 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post office orders are
issued.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
