No. 3564.—JOHN SMITH, of Christchurch, Canterbury,
New Zealand, Well-sinker, has deposited at this office a
specification of an invention for an improved apparatus for
driving pipes for artesian wells or for driving piles, to be called
"The Enterprise Well-driving Apparatus."
No. 3565.—JOHN HOWELL, of Waiorongomai, Auckland,
New Zealand, Engineer, has deposited at this office a speci-
fication of an invention for Howell's revolving cylinder ore-
roaster.
No. 3566.—WILLIAM THOMAS NUTTALL, of Hastings,
Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, Plumber, has deposited at this
office a specification of an invention for an improved apparatus
or device for flushing water-closets and sewers.
No. 3567.—JOHN SANDS, of Harris Street, Pyrmont, Syd-
ney, New South Wales, Engineer, has deposited at this office
a specification of an invention for improvements in ore pul-
verisers or reducers.
No. 3568.—DAVID McLEAN WALLACE, Blacksmith, and
GEORGE WILLIAM GRAVES, Butcher, of Waiorongomai, Auck-
land, New Zealand, have deposited at this office a specifi-
cation of an invention for the improved A1 wire-fastener for
fastening barbed or plain fencing-wire.
And I have appointed Thursday, the 6th day of June
next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the
said applications and all objections thereto; and I require all
persons having an interest in opposing the grant of any such
Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 22nd day of May
next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objections
to any of the said applications, otherwise they will be pre-
cluded from urging the same.

Crown Lands Notices.
Town Sections, Town of Levin, to be sold by Auction.
Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 26th January, 1889.
IT is hereby notified that the town sections in the Town of
Levin, enumerated in the accompanying schedule, will
be offered for sale by public auction, at the Crown Lands
Office, Wellington, on Thursday, the 21st March next, at 10
a.m., for cash.
Plans, &c., can be seen at this office, and at all Railway
Stations and Post Offices in the district.
One-fifth of the purchase-money must be deposited on the
fall of the hammer, and the balance within thirty days, or
the deposit will be forfeited.
