Fixing Shooting Season for Deer, License Fee, &c., Wai-
rarapa.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and "The Animals Protection
Act Amendment Act, 1881," I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify that deer (bucks or stags only) may be taken
or killed within the County of Wairarapa South from the
first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
nine, to the tenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-nine, both inclusive (subject, nevertheless, to the
restrictions in the said Acts mentioned); and I do further
notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said
district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty
shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be
issued on payment of five pounds each; and the Chief Post-
master at Wellington and the Postmaster at Featherston and
Greytown are hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Defining Limits of Pilotage District for Port of Timaru.

IN pursuance of the power and authority invested in me vested by
the seventy-fifth section of "The Harbours Act, 1878,"
I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby define the limits of the
pilotage district for the Port of Timaru to be all the ocean
and tidal waters included within a radius of two and a half
nautical miles from the first monolith of the Timaru Break-
water, as shown on the plan marked M.D. 750, which is
deposited in the office of the Marine Department, at Wel-
lington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Trustee appointed for the Hampden (Nelson) Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
THOMAS BELL
to be a Trustee, in the place of George Stewart, resigned,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Hampden
(Nelson) Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons
appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the
Governor on the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-eight.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-first day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Postmaster appointed to take and receive Statutory
Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
eighth section of "The Justices of the Peace Act
Amendment Act, 1888," I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
notify and declare that
JOHN BASIL GUDGEON,
of Picton, in the said colony, a person holding the office of
Postmaster under "The Post Office Act, 1881," at Picton
aforesaid, is authorised to take and receive statutory decla-
rations under the two hundred and thirty-fourth section of
"The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882."

As witness my hand at Wellington, in the colony
aforesaid, this twenty-third day of February, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine.
