N O. 3551. JOHN PIERCY, of Wanganui, Wellington, New
Zealand, Fence Manufacturer, has deposited at this
office a specification of an invention for an improvement in
ladders, to be called "Piercy's Fire-escape and Farmers'
Ladder."
And I have appointed Tuesday, the 4th day of June
next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the
said application and all objections thereto; and I require all
persons having an interest in opposing the grant of such
Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 20th day of May
next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objections
to the said application, otherwise they will be precluded
from urging the same.

from the inventor, Edward Hubbard Russell, of Park City,
Summit, Utah, United States of America).
No. 3553. EDWARD WATERS, of 131, William Street,
Melbourne, Victoria, Patent Agent, has deposited at this
office a specification of an invention for improvements in the
art of extracting metals from ores or metallurgical products
(being a communication from the inventor, Edward Hubbard
Russell, of Park City, Summit, Utah, United States of
America).
No. 3554. GEORGE AUGUSTUS BRYAN, of Auckland, New
Zealand, Dealer, and GEORGE RICHARDS, of the same place,
Machinist, have deposited at this office a specification of an
invention for guiding perambulators, to be called "Bryan and
Richards's Patent Moveable Guide for Perambulators."
And I have appointed Tuesday, the 4th day of June
