Augustus Toole, Mr. Patrick Alphonsus Buckley, Mr. William
Hunter Reynolds, and Mr. William James Mudie Larnach,
C.M.G., late Members of the Executive Council, being
allowed to retain the title of "Honourable" within the
Colony of New Zealand.

legal proceedings be taken against any person or persons
riding or driving either horses or cattle on, or in any way
damaging, any foot- or side-walk in the Matakana West Road
District.
This is to certify that the above is a true copy of resolu-
tion passed, and that it has been advertised as required by
the Act.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, County of Wairarapa North.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Wairarapa North County Council, is published in
accordance with "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

Proposal to apply for a Loan of £540, under "The Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," for Expenditure in metalling
on the Te Ore Ore-Bideford Road.
I CERTIFY the following to be the result of the poll taken
herein, at Bideford, on Saturday, the 21st January, 1888 :
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 48 ; representing 89
votes. Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal,
28 ; representing 57 votes. Number of ratepayers who voted
against the proposal, nil.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour
of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to
more than one-half of the votes which can be exercised by
the whole number of ratepayers, I declare the proposal to be
carried.

Board, are published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDERS made by the Pahiatua Road Board on the
28th January, 1888.
Mangaramarama Road Loan.
THAT a special rate of three-farthings in the pound be hereby
made upon the rateable value of the rateable property within
the special area composed of the following sections : Nos.
18, 19, part of 22A, and 23, Block VIII., Mangahao Survey
District, for the purpose of paying principal and interest on
a loan of £100 to be borrowed under "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886."
Makakahai Road Loan.
That a special rate of one penny and two-sevenths of a
penny in the pound be hereby made upon the rateable value
of the rateable property within the special area composed of
the following sections : Nos. 13 and 14, Block XI., Nos. 1,
2, 4 to 18 inclusive, part of 19, and the whole of 30, Block
XV., Mangahao Survey District, Nos. 1A, 4A, 4, and 5, Block
III., Mangaone Survey District, for the purpose of paying
principal and interest on a loan of £500 to be borrowed
under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886."
The said rates to be annually-recurring ones for twenty-six
years, and payable on the 1st day of June in each year.
I certify that the above special orders were duly made by
the Pahiatua Road Board, in conformity with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."
