By virtue of the power and authority conferred upon me
by “The Thermal-springs Districts Act, 1881,” and of
every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf,
I, James Prendergast, in the name and on behalf of His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and
as his duly-appointed Deputy, do hereby appoint
HAMUERA PANGO
to be a Member of the Board, constituted on the twenty-
third day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
three, to administer the affairs of the Township of Rotorua,
established under the said “Thermal-springs Districts Act,
1881,” vice Rotohiko Haupapa, deceased.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries
Act, 1882,” I, James Prendergast, in the name and on behalf
of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, do hereby
appoint
ROBERT MUNRO GALLOWAY
to be a Trustee, in the place of Job Vile, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Masterton
Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed
by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor
on the eighteenth day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight.
As witness the hand of His Excellency Sir James
Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, as such
Deputy of the said Governor as aforesaid, this
twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand

JAMES PRENDERGAST.
In exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by
“The Dog Registration Act, 1880” (hereinafter called
“the said Act,”) and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, James Prendergast, in the
name and on behalf of His Excellency Sir William Francis
Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, do hereby
appoint and prescribe the office of the Resident Magistrate
at the Chatham Islands to be a registration office at which
dogs may be registered under the provisions of the said Act,
and at which the register-books required by the said Act
shall be kept; and I do further appoint Richard William
Raynor, of the Chatham Islands aforesaid, to be the Regis-
trar, to keep such registers at the said office, and to receive
the registration fees payable in respect of the registrations
effected thereat; and in exercise of the like powers and
authorities I do hereby prescribe that such fees, when
received, shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund of the
said colony, and that the said Registrar shall be entitled to
receive by way of remuneration the sum of sixpence for each
registration effected at the said office by him.
As witness the hand of His Excellency Sir James
Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, as such
Deputy of the said Governor as aforesaid, this
thirty-first day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-eight.
