Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, James Prendergast, in
the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said
Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 37·1
perches, more or less, situate in the Turanganui Survey
District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing
the Whatatuna No. 1 and the Kupenga Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks:
Portion traversing the Whatatuna No. 1 Block containing
0·8 perch; that portion traversing the Kupenga No. 1 Block
containing 3 roods 10·3 perches; and that portion traversing
the Kupenga No. 2 Block containing 2 roods 26 perches,
more or less. Commencing at the southernmost angle of
the Whatatuna No. 1 Block, being the middle of the road
above referred to; and thence continuing easterly generally
for a distance of 1502·5 links or thereabouts to the eastern
boundary of the Kupenga No. 2 Block: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map
No. 4456, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor's warrant, 7th January, 1881, and 3rd
November, 1885.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 29
perches, more or less, situate in the Patutahi Survey Dis-
trict, and being a road-line, in part 100 links and for the
remainder 50 links wide, traversing the Whatatuna Block;
commencing at a point on the western boundary of the
Kohangakarearea Block, being the termination of a road-line,
100 links wide, traversing that block, and containing 5 acres
and 30·1 perches, more or less, taken under warrant of His
Excellency the Governor, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing westerly to the western
boundary of the Whatatuna Block a distance of 3377 links
on a width of 1 chain; and thence northerly, on a width of
50 links, to the Whatatuna Stream: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map
No. 4456, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor's warrant, 3rd November, 1885.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 0·4 perch, situate in the
Patutahi Survey District, and being a portion of a road-line
lying within the north-western angle of the Tarewa Block;
commencing at the north-western angle of the Tarewa
Block. Bounded towards the north by a line, 18·1 links;
towards the south-east by a line, 23·8 links; and towards the
west by a line, 13·2 links, to the commencing-point: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated
on Map No. 4456, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor's warrant, 3rd November, 1885.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 6 perches,
more or less, situate in the Patutahi Survey District, and
being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing a portion of Te
Arai No. 2 Block; commencing at a point on the south-
eastern boundary of Section No. 1, Patutahi Survey District,
at a distance of 1460 links or thereabouts from its north-
eastern angle, being the middle of the road above referred
to; and thence continuing north-easterly generally for a dis-
tance of 4537 links or thereabouts to its junction with
another road, taken under the Governor's warrant of the 22nd
March, 1881: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as
the same is delineated on Map No. 4457, deposited in the
Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor's warrant, 22nd March, 1881.
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 2
perches and 2 roods 32 perches respectively, more or less,
situate in the Patutahi Survey District, and being portion
of a road-line, of irregular width, traversing the Papatu B
Block (No. 2421B):—
Portion of road containing 1 acre and 2 perches: Com-
mencing at the north-westernmost angle of the Papatu B
Block aforesaid. Bounded towards the north by a line, 205
links; towards the west generally by lines, 270, 56, and 225
links respectively; towards the south-east by a line, 260·9
links; and towards the east by a line, 415·5 links, to the
commencing-point.
Portion of road containing 2 roods 32 perches: Com-
mencing at a point on the south-western boundary of the
ERRATA.—In the Schedule to the Order in Council issued the 13th January, 1888, page 40 of the New Zealand Gazette
No. 4, of the 19th January, for "upset price £5 per acre" read "upset price £5 per allotment." Also in the Order
in Council issued 27th September, 1887, page 1244 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 61, of the 29th September, for "Sec-
tion 10, Block X., Chatton District," read "Section 12, Block X., Chatton District."
