Description of Land.—The above sections lie about 6 miles eastward of Opunake, and are accessible by the Eltham Road, which is gravelled from Opunake up to the block. The soil is of good quality, well watered, and covered with timber common to the district.

Description of Land.—The above sections in the Kaupokonui District are situated inland of the Waimate Plains, some abut on the Eltham Road. The country is generally level, well watered, soil good, but gets lighter as the forest reserve around Mount Egmont is neared. Timbers are those common to the district: rimu, rata, tawa, &c.
