Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over Land in the Hawke's Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the lands specified under warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those parcels of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 26 acres 1 rood 6 perches, more or less, situate in the Tahoraite Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 to 200 links wide, traversing the Tipa-pakuku or Manawatu No. 4A Block:—

Portion containing 21 acres 1 rood 6 perches: Commencing at the south-east bank of the Mangatera Stream (marked A on plan); thence in a south-easterly direction by lines taking the east side of road to the northern bank of the Manawatu River (marked C on plan), 18760 links; thence along the river-bank, in a south-westerly direction, 100 links; thence in a north-westerly direction by lines to the south-east bank of the Mangatera Stream aforesaid, 18619 links; thence along the said stream to the commencing-point.

Portion containing 5 acres and 3 roods: Commencing at Peg No. 22, junction of roads (marked B on plan); thence in a north-westerly direction, being the centre line of road, to the Mangatera Stream (marked A1 on plan), 5758 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map No. 613, deposited in the Survey Office, Napier.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 2nd February, 1888.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, namely, the Waiongona-Normanby Section:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
