Private Advertisements.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between DAVID HOUSTON and JOHN KING, carrying on business as Grocers and General Storekeepers, under the style and firm of “Houston, King, and Co.” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will in future be carried on by the said David Houston on his own account, and he will receive all debts owing to, and pay all due by, the said firm from this date.

“FOREIGN COMPANIES ACT, 1884.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the office of the Te Aroha Silver- and Gold-mining Company (Limited), where legal proceedings of any kind may be served upon it, and to which notices of any kind may be addressed or given, has been removed from No. 75, Queen Street, Auckland, to the Company’s Works, Waiorongomai, Te Aroha.

PELORUS ROAD BOARD.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Pelorus Road Board, under the provisions of section 10 of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” intend to take, for the purpose of a public road, all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 12 perches, being part of Section 67, Linkwater Survey District, commencing at the public road through Section 67, and extending in a southerly direction a distance of 2766 links to the boundary of Section 67; as the same is more particularly described on a plan deposited at the office of Messrs. Brownlee and Co., Havelock.

And further notice is hereby given that all persons whomsoever having any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land for the purposes aforesaid shall set forth in writing all and any such objections to the said Pelorus Road Board, addressed to the Chairman thereof, at the office of the Board, Havelock, within forty days from the first publication of this notice. The plan and descriptions of the said land so required to be taken as aforesaid are now open for inspection at the office of Messrs. Brownlee and Co., at Havelock, during office hours.

OTAKEHO DAIRY COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution, namely, “That the Otakeho Dairy Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily,” was passed at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders held on the 27th day of October last past, and confirmed at a similar meeting held on the 10th day of November instant.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Canton Insurance Office (Limited), incorporated at Victoria, in the Island of Hong Kong, is duly registered for the transaction of marine insurance business in Nelson, New Zealand, and that the office of the company is situate in Central Trafalgar Street, in the City of Nelson. THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the charge is 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.

Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post office orders are issued.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
