AUCKLAND HARBOUR BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Harbour
Board intends to take, under the provisions of "The
Public Works Act, 1882," the land described in the Schedule
hereto for the purpose of reclaiming from the sea land in
Freeman's Bay adjoining the said land, and for roads. A
plan showing the nature of the works proposed to be exe-
cuted, and the land required to be taken for the same, and
the name of the owner-or occupier thereof, is open for in-
spection at the offices of the Auckland Harbour Board, at
any time between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; and all
persons affected are requested to set forth in writing any
objection they may have to the execution of such work or to
the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
said Auckland Harbour Board.

Dated this 12th day of November, 1888.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 2
roods 27 perches, more or less, and being portion of Lot
15 of Section 8 of the Suburbs of Auckland. Bounded on
the west by a straight line commencing at high-water mark
in the Harbour of Auckland at the south-eastern corner of
said Lot 15, bearing 26° 59', till the said line touches high-
water mark on the north-eastern boundary of said lot, 355.4
links; thence on the north-east and south by high-water
mark to the commencing-point.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the
charge will be 3s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
