Additional Land taken in the Survey District of Otanake for the Purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, from a Point at or near Marton to Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumarunui, and the Ongaruke River Valley: Waiteti Section.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, from a point at or near Marton to Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumaranui, and the Ongaruke River Valley, to take further land for the Waiteti Section of the said railway, situated in the Survey District of Otanake, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a portion of the Picton-Hurunui Railway, Picton-Blenheim Section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
