As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land District of Auckland described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of “The Public Reserves Sale Act, 1888,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare and direct that the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be reserved, and that the same shall be sold and disposed of under the provisions of sections ninety-five and two hundred and thirty-two of “The Land Act, 1885.”
