Trustee under Maori Real Estate Management Acts, 1867 and 1877, appointed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of October, 1888.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Maori Real Estate Management Act, 1867” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), it is enacted that, if any title to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue to any Maoris who or any of whom shall be infants, lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order that such hereditaments, or any part thereof or interest therein, as shall to the Governor in Council be shown to belong to such infant or lunatic or other person under legal disability shall be vested in Trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit :
And whereas by “The Maori Real Estate Management Act Amendment Act, 1877,” it is provided that, in all cases in which no Trustee of such estate of any infant Maori prior to the passing of the said last recited Act has been appointed, the Governor may appoint such Trustee only on the recommendation of a Judge of the Native Land Court :
And whereas, in pursuance of an order bearing date as contained in the first column of the Schedule hereto, made by the Judge named in the second column thereof, the person named in the third column was recommended to the Governor as Trustee under the said Acts on behalf of the persons named and under the disability described in the fourth column, in respect of the real estate described or referred to in the fifth column, for an estate therein derived, as mentioned in the sixth column :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Acts, doth hereby order that the interests and shares of the persons under disability named in the Schedule hereto in the block of land referred to therein shall be and remain vested in the person named in the third column thereof as Trustee within the meaning and for the purposes of the said Acts for the said persons respectively during the term or terms of their minority or other disability ; the said parcel of land having the area and boundaries set forth in the Crown grant, certificate of title, and memorial of ownership affecting the same, and in the record map in the office of the Surveyor-General.

Fixing Sittings of District Court of Westland.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Court of Westland, for the despatch of civil business only, shall be held as follows :—
In the Courthouse at Greymouth, on Tuesday, the eleventh day of December next.
In the Courthouse at Hokitika, on Friday, the fourteenth day of December next.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

Revocation of Notice classifying Pastoral Lands in the Canterbury Land District.

IN pursuance of the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of a certain notification, published at page five hundred and twenty-seven of the New Zealand Gazette No. 35, dated the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, as relates to the block of land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
FORTY-FIVE acres of land in the Opihi Survey District, Block VIII., on Run 443, Class II., being that part of the run situated between Sections 12264, 10699, 28488, and 6156.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre respectively set opposite such land in the said Schedule.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 400 acres, more or less, and situated in Block VII., Mangamuka Survey District; commencing at the south-easternmost angle of the Orira Block. Bounded towards the east by the Ahutoatoa Block; towards the south by a line; towards the west by the Orira River and Otamaru Stream; towards the north-east by the Huranui Stream; and towards the north by the Orira Block aforesaid to the commencing-point. Upset price per acre, 10s.
