NO. 3287.—JAMES RODGERSON, of Blenheim, New Zealand, Engineer, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for a force-pump.

No. 3288.—THOMAS WILLS MAUNDER, of Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, Builder, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for a watertight butter-box.

No. 3289.—JOHN LEWIS, of Gold Street, Clifton Hill, Victoria, Mining Engineer, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for an improved electro-chemical process for the extraction and reduction of gold and silver from their ores (being a communication from the inventor, Henry Forbes Julian, of Johannesburg, Transvaal, South African Republic).

No. 3290.—HUGH VICTOR MCKAY, of Sturt Street, Ballarat, Victoria, Machinery Merchant, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for an improved reaping and binding harvester.

No. 3291. WILLIAM LINGARD, of Wellington, New Zealand, Agent, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for improvements in coal-bins, to be called "The Self-registering Coal-bin."

No. 3292.—JAMES BROWN, of Invercargill, Otago, New Zealand, Accountant, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for improvements in gold-saving machine, known as "Brown's Separator." Letters Patent No. 2337.

And I have appointed Tuesday, the 26th day of February next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the said applications and all objections thereto; and I require all persons having an interest in opposing the grant of any such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 11th day of February next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objections to any of the said applications, otherwise they will be precluded from urging the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Trust Commissioner's Court will be held, under the authority and for the purpose of the said Acts, at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Lower Hutt, on Saturday, the 10th day of November, 1888, at 12 a.m., for investigating the applications mentioned in the Schedule hereunder, at which time and place all persons interested therein, and having objections thereto, are requested to attend.
