NOTICE is hereby given that ALFRED DE LISSA, of 313,
George Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Solicitor,
has applied, on behalf of COMPANIA GENERAL DE TABACOS
DE FILIPINAS, of Barcelona, Spain, and 106, Fenchurch
Street, London, England, Tobacco Merchants and Manufac-
turers, to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,”
the trade marks of which the following is a description :—
Description of Trade Mark No. 1.
Consists of two parts, of which the descriptions are as fol-
lows :—
Part 1 consists of a lined oblong, having immediately
within it a double-lined oblong-shaped figure, the top and
bottom sides of which are respectively convex and concave.
The corner spaces thus formed are occupied by fanciful orna-
mentation. In the centre field is the representation of a
shield divided into four portions by two lines running at right
angles to each other, the lines being broken at, and near, the
point at which they would otherwise intersect by an oval,
the upper portion of which contains the representation of a
castle, and the lower portion being shaded by fine lines. In
the left-hand upper space of the shield is the representation
of a tobacco plant in full bloom and leaf. The left-hand
lower space contains the representation of the exterior of a
