A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS Joseph O’Meagher was appointed by the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to be a Trustee under “The Oamaru Racecourse Reserve Management Ordinance, 1870,” in the room of William Frederick Ebbs, deceased: And whereas the said Joseph O’Meagher has been absent from the Provincial District of Otago for more than six consecutive calendar months, and it is therefore necessary to appoint another person to be a Trustee in the room of the said Joseph O’Meagher:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the aforesaid ordinance and by “The Abolition Act, 1875,” do hereby appoint John McLean, of Redcastle, near Oamaru, run-holder, to be a permanent Trustee and Member of the corporate body appointed under the said “Oamaru Racecourse Reserve Management Ordinance, 1870,” by the name and style of “The Trustees of the Oamaru Racecourse,” in the room of the said Joseph O’Meagher.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Mining Act, 1886” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby withdraw from the Marlborough Mining Districts as constituted by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 36, of the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, that portion of the colony particularly described in the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be deemed to be altered accordingly; and that this Proclamation shall take effect as from the first day of October next.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land District containing by admeasurement 123 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block XII., Onamalutu Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Blenheim.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use convenience, and enjoyment of the public work known as the Wanganui Waterworks, to take further land in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said public work:
And whereas the Wanganui Borough Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power
