NOTICE.—MACKAY JOHN SCOBEIE GAIR, a Solicitor of
the Supreme Court of Victoria, has been appointed
this day, by His Honour Mr. Justice Williams, a Commis-
sioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the Colony
of Victoria, under "The Commissioners of the Supreme
Court Act, 1875," for the purpose of taking affidavits as in
the said Act mentioned.

County of Wairarapa North.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Pahiatua Road Board, is published in accordance
with "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

Notice is hereby given that the result of the poll on the
proposal to borrow £1,500, under "The Government Loans to
Local Bodies Act 1886 Amendment Act, 1887," for the pur-
pose of constructing that portion of the Mangatainoka Cen-
tral Road between the Mangatainoka North and Mangahao
Roads, a distance of about four and three quarter miles, is
as follows:—
Ratepayers on roll, 14; votes exercisable, 14. Number of
ratepayers voting for the proposal, 8; against the proposal,
nil.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour
of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to
more than one-half of the number of votes exercisable by
the whole number of ratepayers interested, I therefore
declare the proposal duly carried.
