ocean; towards the south-east and south by the Counties
of Tauranga and Piako; towards the south-west by the
County of Waikato; again towards the south-east by the
Counties of Waikato and Raglan; and again towards the
south-west by the ocean; and again towards the north by
the Marsden Subdivision, hereinbefore described: together
with the islands of Tiritiri, Rakino, Motutapu, Motuihe,
Waiheki, Ponui, Pahiki, McIntosh, Beeson, Cuvier, Mer-
cury, and Slipper, and islands adjacent thereto; and except-
ing the Sheep Districts of Miranda and Waikawau, herein-
before described.

Waikato Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-west, north-east, and north by
the Auckland Subdivision, hereinbefore described; again
towards the north-east by the County of Tauranga; towards
the south-east by the County of Rotorua; towards the south-
west generally by the Counties of West Taupo and Kawhia;
and towards the west by the ocean.

Bay of Plenty Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-east and north-west by the
Bay of Plenty; towards the south-east by the Counties of
Cook and Wairoa to the main road from Taupo to Napier;
thence by that road to the Waikato River; thence by the
said Waikato River to Taupo Moana; and thence by Taupo
Moana to the County of West Taupo; towards the west by
the said County of West Taupo, and the Waikato Subdivision,
hereinbefore described; and towards the north-west by the
Auckland Subdivision, hereinbefore described: together with
the islands of Matakana and Motiti, and islands adjacent
thereto.

Taupo Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-east by the Waikato Subdivi-
sion, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east by the
Bay of Plenty Subdivision, hereinbefore described, and the
County of East Taupo; towards the south-west generally
by the Counties of Wanganui and Clifton; and towards the
west by the ocean.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most
Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of
September, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-eight.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land
Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Procla-
mation of the seventh day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-six, so far as it relates to the section
mentioned in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is
hereby revoked; and do proclaim and declare that the said
section is hereby withdrawn from the village-homestead
special-settlement system.

SCHEDULE.

Section No. 37, Block II., 49 acres and 26 perches, Highlay
District, Otago Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this twenty-eighth day of September, in

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-sixth section
of “The Land Act, 1885,” the lands specified in
the Schedule hereto were, with other lands, set apart for sale
as a village settlement, by a Proclamation dated the twenty-
sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
eight: And whereas by an Order in Council issued in terms
of the twenty-first section of the Act aforesaid it was directed
that the sections should be disposed of at the prices stated
therein on deferred payments: And whereas it is expedient
that the sections enumerated in the Schedule hereto should
be withdrawn from the ordinary village-settlement system:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me
by section six of the said Act, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby revoke the said Proclamation of the twenty-sixth
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight,
so far as it relates to the sections enumerated in the
Schedule hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said
sections are hereby withdrawn from the ordinary village-
settlement system.
