the southern boundary-line of the City of Wellington afore-
said; thence towards the south-east, south-west, and north-
west generally by the south-eastern, the south-western, and
the north-western boundary-lines of the City of Wellington
aforesaid to the north-western corner of Section No. 11 of the
City Reserves in the Terrace district; and thence again
towards the north and west by part of the northern boundary-
line of the City of Wellington aforesaid to the point of com-
mencement.
Cook Ward comprises all that portion of the City of
Wellington bounded towards the north-west by the north-
western boundary-lines of the City of Wellington as defined
in the Schedule to "The Wellington City Boundaries Act,
1878;" towards the east and south generally by the eastern
and southern boundary-lines of the said City of Wellington;
and towards the south-west and north-west generally by Te
Aro Ward, hereinbefore described.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most
Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this tenth day of Septem-
ber, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-eight.
