  1. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
    meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
  2. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
    and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first
    Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
    elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
    discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
    vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
    his successor.
  3. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
    time appointed for holding the same, the members present
    shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of
    such meeting.
  4. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the
    office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members
    may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.
  5. All questions shall be determined by the majority of
    votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 21 acres 1 rood 36 perches, more or less, and being
called or known as Mount Victoria Reserve, in the Parish of
Takapuna, Rangitoto Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland. Bounded towards the north-east by Lot 17A, 883
links; towards the south-east by a public road and Lot 17,
1074 links; towards the south by Lot 20A and a public road,
969 links; towards the south-west by Lot 26, 1289 links;
towards the north-west by a line and Lot 26A, 650 links; and
towards the north by Lot 16 to point of commencement, 752
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: excepting
the Flagstaff Reserve, containing by admeasurement 2 roods
and 4 perches, more or less, and a right-of-way thereto.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day
of September, 1888.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for a quarry: And whereas, in the
opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land
in the Waikouaiti County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the
Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Waikouaiti
County, in trust, for a quarry.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood 7 perches,
more or less, situate in the Hawksbury District, and being
Section No. 92 of Block V. of said district. Bounded
towards the north-west by Section No. 87 of same block,
1033 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 97 of
same block, 980 links; towards the south-east by a road-
line, 1041 links; and towards the south-west by Section
No. 91 of same block, 1009 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less.

Appointing Legal Landing-places at Port of Dunedin.

IN exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by
"The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882," I, Wil-
liam Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby appoint that, from and after the
date hereof, the wharves known as

"VICTORIA,"
"CROSS," and
"TONGUE"

shall be deemed and taken to be legal landing-places for the
lading and unlading of goods, under "The Customs Laws
Consolidation Act, 1882."
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirtieth day of August, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-eight.

the Chief Justice, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of
New Zealand in England, under the fourth section of "The
Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875," for the
purpose of taking acknowledgments of married women.
