NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned WILLIAM JAMES HAYES and WILLIAM WALTER SPENCER, carrying on business at Ashburton, as Drapers, under the style or firm of “Hayes and Company,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
The business will for the future be carried on by the said William Walter Spencer, on his sole account, and he will receive all debts and sums of money due to, and pay all sums due by, the late firm.

IN THE MATTER OF “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882,” AND THE SUBSEQUENT STATUTES AMENDMENTS THEREOF.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD IN THE PARISH OF ARAPOHUE, HOBSON COUNTY.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the subsequent statutes amendments thereof, to execute certain public works, to wit, the construction of a road in the above parish, and for the purpose of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is further given that a plan of the said road is deposited and open for inspection at the Post Office, Mititai, Kaipara; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such land shall, if they have any well-founded objection thereto, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 22nd day of August, 1888, to the Chairman, Hobson County Council, Te Kopuru, Kaipara.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing 1 acre 3 roods 14·6 perches, more or less, situated in the Okahu Road District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the northern portion of Section No. 61 of the Parish of Arapohue, and delineated upon a plan deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland, and numbered 4680.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.
