Towards the north-east and south-east by the Pangatotara, Dovedale, and Waimea Road Districts, from the Motueka River to Nicholson’s Well; thence towards the south-west by the summit of the dividing range between Stanley Brook and the Motueka River to the northernmost corner of Section No. 52 of Square 6, Wai-iti Survey District; thence again towards the south-east by that section and Section No. 70 to the Motueka River aforesaid; thence again towards the south-west and towards the north-west by that river to the place of commencement.
The Motupiko District to comprise the whole of the present Subdistrict of Motupiko, bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by the Stanley Brook District, hereinbefore described; thence by the Waimea Road District to its southernmost corner; thence by a right line to the source of the Motupiko River; thence towards the south-west and south-east by the Inangahua County and the watershed to the confluence of the Buller and the Hope Rivers; thence towards the north-west by a right line to the range at the source of the Tadmor River; thence by the summit of the dividing range between the last-mentioned river and the Motupiko River to the north-western corner of Section No. 87 of Square 5, Wai-iti Survey District; thence by the northern boundary-line of that section and its production across the Motueka River; thence again towards the south-west by that river to the place of commencement.
The Tadmor District to comprise the whole of the present Subdistrict of Tadmor, bounded as follows: Towards the north and north-east by the Pangatotara Road District; thence towards the east and south-east by the Stanley Brook District and the Motupiko District, hereinbefore described; thence towards the south-west by the Inangahua County; and thence towards the north-west by the Buller County to the place of commencement.

THE following special order, made by the Castlepoint Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

PROPOSED, That a special order be made adopting generally the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” in accordance with notice given as required by section 75 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”—Carried, 12th May, 1888.
Proposed, The provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” are adopted by this Board.—Carried, 12th May, 1888.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the above resolutions, adopting generally the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” have been duly passed by the Castlepoint Road Board, this 12th day of May, 1888.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Upper Wangaehu Road District, County of Wanganui.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

NOTICE of result of poll on proposal to borrow £1,800 for that portion of the Upper Wangaehu Road District bounded on the west by a line commencing at the south-western boundary of Run No. 4, Mangawhero Survey District, and following the western boundary of the said road district to the boundary of the Murimotu Run; thence eastwards along the southern boundary of the Murimotu Run to Hale’s Road Extension; thence southwards along Hale’s Track Extension to the western boundary of the Ruanui Run and Hale’s Road to the boundary of the Matawhitia Run; thence eastwards, southwards, and westwards along the boundaries of the Matawhitia Run to the Wangaehu River; thence along the Wangaehu River and the southern boundary of Run No. 4, Mangawhero Survey District, to the starting-point. Poll held at Mangamahu, Wednesday, the 25th July, 1888:—
Total number of ratepayers on roll, 13; representing 18 votes. Votes recorded for proposal, 15; number of ratepayers voting for proposal, 11; votes against, nil; number of ratepayers voting against the proposal, nil; informal, nil; votes not recorded, 3.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to more than one-half of the votes which can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I do hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

THE following Proclamation and regulations issued and made by the Governor of Western Australia, respecting the introduction of horned cattle, sheep, and swine into the colony from places outside the Australasian Colonies, are published for general information.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, made by me, the said Governor, under the provisions of an Act of the Legislative Council, passed in the forty-third year of the reign of Her present Majesty, numbered twenty-three, intituled “An Act for the Prevention of the Importation of Diseased Stock,” by which said Proclamation the importation into and landing in Western Australia, either by land or sea, from any place beyond the limits of the Australasian Colonies, of horned cattle, sheep, and swine, was forbidden: And whereas under the provisions of the said Act the Governor is empowered, with the advice of the Executive Council, from time to time to vary or annul the restrictions imposed on importation by any such Proclamation: And whereas it is expedient to vary the restrictions imposed on such importation by the said Proclamation: Now, therefore, I, the said Governor, in exercise of the powers possessed by me under the said Act, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do, by this Proclamation, with the advice of the Executive Council, vary the said Proclamation of the twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, by removing the restrictions therein imposed on the importation of horned cattle, sheep, and swine from Europe:
And whereas under the said Act the Governor has power, with the advice of the Executive Council, from time to time to make regulations for regulating the conditions upon which any cattle or animals may be introduced into the colony, the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulation: That no horned cattle, sheep, or swine be imported into and landed in Western Australia, either by land or sea, from Europe, unless such horned cattle, sheep, or swine shall have been inspected and declared free from disease by a qualified veterinary surgeon, before being shipped for this colony.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the said Colony, at Government House, Perth, this twentieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

REWARDS of £10,000 are offered for the discovery of new goldfields, upon the amended conditions set forth hereunder.

AMENDED CONDITIONS.
- The maximum sum offered as a reward for any proved discovery of a new goldfield in accordance with these conditions is £5,000 for the North Island, and £5,000 for the Middle Island.
