All in the Provincial District of Otago; as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 15171, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red, purple, and green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Picton-Hurunui Railway (section from Picton to Awatere) to take further land at Picton, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Licensing Districts defined.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Licensing Act, 1881,” and “The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the Governor shall from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Acts, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same, and may abolish any district:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Acts, do hereby abolish, from and after the first day of February next, the Licensing Districts of Albert, Tauhoa, and Mahurangi; and do hereby proclaim and define the parts of the colony mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto to be, from and after the said first day of February next, ordinary licensing districts for the purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
RODNEY COUNTY.
Mahurangi Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Mahurangi, as described in a special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, 21st July, 1887.
Matakana Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Matakana, as described in a special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, 21st July, 1887.
Omaha Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Omaha, as described in a special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, 21st July, 1887.
Hoteo Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Hoteo, as described in a special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, 21st July, 1887.
Albert Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Albert, as described in a special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, 21st July, 1887.
Tauhoa Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Tauhoa, as described in a special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, 21st July, 1887.
Puhoi Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Riding of Puhoi, as described in a special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, 21st July, 1887.
