ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of July, 1888.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and eighty-four of “The Counties Act, 1886,” it is enacted that each County Council shall hold a special meeting to consider the balance-sheet and statements of county accounts during the month of May in each year: And whereas the balance-sheet and statement of accounts of the County of Hokianga were not forwarded to the Chairman of the County Council by the Auditor until after the thirty-first day of May last past, and have not been considered by the Hokianga County Council, and it is therefore expedient to extend the time within which a special meeting for the aforesaid purpose can be held:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in him by the said “Counties Act, 1886,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time for holding a special meeting of the Hokianga County Council for the purpose of considering the balance-sheet and statement of accounts of the county, and doth declare that the said special meeting may be held on or before the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of May, 1888.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Cuvier Island Lighthouse:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works, Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Cuvier Island Lighthouse shall and may be constructed on the parcel of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
