Defining the Middle Line of Further Portion of the Waikato-Thames Railway: Ohinemuri Section.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Waikato-Thames Railway is one of the railways specified in the First Schedule to “The Public Works Act, 1879,” and which Act is, in the seventh section thereof, declared to be a special Act authorising the construction of such railway; and such railway is unfinished, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same, namely, Ohinemuri section:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the aforesaid section seven of “The Public Works Act, 1879,” and by sections one hundred and twenty-nine and one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point situate at 12 miles 65 chains on the Thames-Hikutaiā section of the said railway, and about 6½ chains in a north-north-westerly direction from the westernmost corner or angle of Lot 3 of the subdivision of Henry Alley’s land at Hikutaiā, Crown grants Nos. 253 and 254; which point forms part of the Proclamation dated the 4th September, 1879, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 11th September, 1879, No. 95; proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction for a distance of about 6 miles 15 chains, and terminating at a point in the Hararahi Block No. 1, 3841, distant about 1070 and 1800 links respectively from the westernmost and northernmost corners of Hararahi Block No. 2, 3841A; and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, namely: Lots 2, 7, 15, 14, 20, 30, 31, 76, 77, 82, 87, and 149 of the subdivision of the said Henry Alley’s land, Blocks Kaimanawa 4448, Komata North No. 1, 5699, Te Komata North 2263 and Subdivisions 3 and 2, and Komata South 2269, J. W. Thorp’s grant, Blocks Taiwhakarewakauri 3816, and Hararahi No. 1, 3841; including all adjoining and intervening Native lands, places, lands, roads, tracks, reserves, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all in the Waihou Survey District, in the County of Thames, Provincial District of Auckland; in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 15638, a copy of which plan is deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, at Auckland, in the said Provincial District of Auckland.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Leasing as a Small Grazing Run.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Proclamation of the sixteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, by His Excellency the Governor, setting apart the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto for leasing as small grazing runs shall be and the same is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the section mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

SECTION 145, Block X., 483 acres 2 roods.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over Land in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land specified under warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, situate in the Maungaru Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Hungahungataroa Block (No. 3425); commencing at a point on the southern boundary of the Hungahungataroa Block aforesaid at a distance of 1228·5 links or thereabouts to the eastward of the angle on the same nearest to the Wairoa River, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing north-westerly generally for a distance of 5000 links or thereabouts to the Wairoa River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map No. 4680A, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
